Sean Kevlahan, Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder
Sean Kevlahan, is a product driven entrepreneur in the Life Science sector and specialist in stem cell biology. Dr. Kevlahan has received numerous awards including being one of the top-26 finalist in MassChallenge and a winner of the CASIS sidecar award. Dr. Kevlahan holds a B.S in biochemistry from Hofstra University and received his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from Northeastern University.
Fun Fact: Hates spiders and has an expansive zombie apocalypse plan.
Chief Financial Officer
Richard Crowley has over 30 years of financial and management experience. Mr. Crowley earned a BA in Economics from Providence College, received training in accounting at Cornell Business School and has earned his CPA while at Price Waterhouse. Mr. Crowley has served as a contract Chief Financial Officer and executive at several companies since 1995 including Serica Technologies, Immulogic Pharmaceuticals, Ergo Science, Applied Sciences, and Cohesive Technologies. Prior to 1995 he served as Chief Financial Officer of The Crosby Vandenburgh Group, Senior Vice President of Transnational Financial Services, and COO of LittlePoint Corporation. Mr. Crowley has also served as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Education in Massachusetts and is a current finance committee member of the New England Baptist hospital.
Fun Fact: Rick and his wife Colette are recent empty nesters and participate in facilitating Pre Cana for engaged couples in the Massachusetts Merrimack Valley.
Andrew Ball, Ph.D.
Vice President of Research and Development
Andrew specializes in the development of assays and reagents for regenerative medicine applications, with over 15 years’ experience in commercialization of cell-based assays, reagents and devices. Before joining Quad Technologies he held leadership roles at Chemicon International, Millipore Corporation and EMD Millipore. Prior to entering the life sciences industry, Dr. Ball held academic research positions at the University of Uppsala, Louisiana State University Medical Center, University of California San Diego and the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute. Over the course of his career, he has led the development and commercialization of more than 50 cell-based assay products and services and published > 20 scientific papers.
Fun Fact: Has a dog named ‘Elvis’ and owns more Merle Haggard records than anyone should.
